Guardians of the Bay
14×14 inch (including ½ inch white border)
There is an adorable little town in Ontario, nestled along the shore of Georgian Bay, called Collingwood. This quaint town is a gem with the most gorgeous town park that I’ve ever experienced. It stretches for kilometres and is filled with green spaces, a children’s playground, walking trails and picnic tables. But most notable is the shoreline.
This painting is inspired by one section of shoreline where it seemed the only thing holding back the power of this great bay was a long line of boulders. The dichotomy of this was strikingly beautiful.
I painted this piece on 100% cotton Arches paper using only the best professional paints that are full of beautiful lightfast pigments.
*Although these pigments are designed to not fade over time, if you are planning to hang this piece in a sunny location, be sure to frame it beneath UV protective glass.
