Life is hard. That’s why I paint.

Caring for people has been the heartbeat behind everything I’ve done in my life. It’s what led me to start a career in aesthetics, and it’s what led me to start a family. Life, however, took an abrupt left turn midway through my second pregnancy when we found out our baby daughter would be born with a physical disability called Spina Bifida. It became obvious that I would need to be there for her and our toddler son, so I stepped away from my career to care for my family. This was not an easy decision but it was the right one. That was13 years ago.

During a two year period a few years ago, our daughter became very sick with an illness that evaded diagnosis for a whole year. It was at this point I knew I needed an outlet for my grief and mental health. Being a life-long creative, naturally I picked up my paints. I painted as often as I could and slowly but surely my mental health improved and a new passion emerged. I couldn’t imagine doing anything else with my life, so I dove in head first.

Tenacity and grit have led me to a place where I now have the privilege to share my nature-inspired art with you. I mainly paint peaceful landscapes using either watercolour or oil mediums, but I have also been known to dabble in still life. It is a joy to be able to step into my cozy home studio in Muskoka, Ontario, Canada and carefully handcraft heirloom-quality art that has the power to transform a room into a therapeutic space.

In this often overstimulating world, my hope is that my art will leave you with a sense of stillness and peace. It would be my pleasure to provide you with a piece of art that feels soothing to the mind and healing to the soul.
